Lyle Owerko a fine art photographer with a diverse roster of clients that include major brands, corporations and human rights groups. Known for a keen perception and knowledge of cultural movements, his instinctually crafted visual images have found an indelible place in the lexicon of both pop culture and journalism.

Owerko’s feathers are an off-shoot of his Mongolia Eagle Hunter series. He made numerous pilgrimages over multiple years to Northern Mongolia documenting this distinct culture of falconry. He immersed himself in this ancient and otherwise closed community that relies on the world’s most dangerous birds of prey for both companionship and sustenance.

Removed from the context of the overall series, these eagle feather studies become intimate objects - quiet singular portraits highlighting both their subtle details and natural beauty.

A recipient of numerous awards, editorial and television profiles, his work is collected and exhibited around the world. Lyle was raised in Western Canada, studied at The Pratt Institute in New York, and currently resides in Los Angeles.
